Sharmayne Bolling is a Resident in Counseling who specializes in treating anxiety, depression and co-occurring disorders. She especially enjoys mentoring adolescent girls on the importance of selfworth, acceptance and validation. She will be providing individual and DBT group therapy, Faith-based counseling and coaching services. Along with her education and experience, she continues to assist youth in therapeutic settings; Sharmayne has professional experience as a behavioral consultant where she manages behavioral cases and transfer skills to the client’s family, assigned Therapeutic Staff Support and Mobile Therapist, by giving them tools to assist the client in demonstrating regulated behaviors in the home and community. Sharmayne is also rendering Psychotherapy services in a patient-centered environment while assisting the client in their trauma and working towards weekly well-being.
Her love for counseling and pursing to become a Mental Health Coach allows for her to use a strengths-based approach to care for the client, not fixing mentally ill individuals, but demonstrating charismatic behaviors, guide the client towards decision making, be an advocate, help individuals develop a mental healthcare plan to reach goals, overcome barriers, and manage the illness, help them develop supportive system and point them to professionals in the mental healthcare system.
While furthering her education, Sharmayne developed her Nonprofit “Pretty Girls, Inc”. in 2010. She remains proactive in motivating girls and women through Pretty Girls, Inc. weekly. The organization has been running effectively by assisting girls ages three and older on maintaining a positive self-image, implementing etiquette practices, pursuing academic excellence, and using healthy alternatives, through fun-themed events, motivational speaking, encouragement, virtual classes, and workshop classes.
In addition, Sharmayne has written two inspirational books called “Highway to Healing: Accept. Forgive. Heal” and “The moment I forgave Her”. These books along with a workbook was developed to assist girls and women (boys and men) live their best life by accepting the past, forgiving others, and live in their tur healing.
